In the next issue of mondo*dr

October 17th, 2010

mondobanner 206 cover

in the next issue:

PLASA this year didn’t only represent a productive few days spent in London, but it provided a milestone for the new mondo*dr team, and further assurances that the market is looking to the future with increased optimism. With a full year under our belts, the ‘not so new’ mondo*dr team is preparing for the last normal issue of the year, whilst readying the 2011 World Trading Survey as well. The November / December issue will feature a Report dedicated to Trussing projects, a Product Guide dedicated to Theatrical Lighting and a collection of ever diversifying venues. And an extra special feature in this issue is a supplement on the Shanghai World Expo. Our editorial deadline is Friday 15 October, so take a look down the list of features below, and if something catches your eye then be sure to let us know about it.

september / october digital edtion –
available now

trussing in depth: trussing
Trussing is a vital piece of equipment when it comes to flying audio kit, and mounting lighting fixtures, however, it can sometimes take a back seat to those more prominent pieces of equipment. Well this is its chance to shine. We’re looking for projects from around the world, which uses trussing to spectacular effect. Please send between 400-1000 words, which must be accompanied by high quality high-resolution images (300dpi), to Michael at m.nicholson@mondiale.co.uk by Friday 15 October.
lighting in business: theatrical lighting
In our Product Guide this issue, we’ll be focussing on Theatrical Lighting, which will include followspots, profiles, luminaires, moving heads (specific to the theatre market), gels and filters. This issue will receive bonus distribution at JTSE, Paris, a tradeshow specifically designed for the theatre market so it is the perfect opportunity to have your theatre products included. Please send your 200-word product description and a high-resolution image (300dpi) to Rachael at r.rogerson@mondiale.co.uk by Friday 15 October.
world expo in focus: shanghai world expo
A bonus feature for the November / December issue is a supplement on the Shanghai World Expo. We will be looking at a selection of the pavilions, so if you’ve been involved with any, either supplying equipment, providing design expertise, or working onsite in Shanghai for the duration of the project, then we want to hear from you. Please send information about your involvement in the project and supply high quality high-resolution images (300dpi), to Rachael at r.rogerson@mondiale.co.uk by Friday 15 October.
guangzhou in focus: venues
We always have a variety of venues on our radar, and we are always looking for more, so keep us up to date on any fixed installation projects you’ve been involved with. See the list below for venues in the pipeline. If you have any information relating to those listed then please contact Rachael at r.rogerson@mondiale.co.uk or Michael at m.nicholson@mondiale.co.uk

Grand Canal Theatre, Ireland / Club Black, Denmark/ Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Australia / Guangzhou Opera House, China
