TPi E-Newsletter 26.10.2010

26.10.2010

Dear reader,

TPi is fresh from a very positive Showmans Show last week. Despite the busy festival season coming to an end, the majority of companies we spoke to were positive that business was picking up and that recession woes were being left behind, with only a couple concerned about what 2011 would bring.

You’ll find a report on the exhibition in our forthcoming November issue (how it is already November I cannot fathom!)

Following on from our security feature in the last issue where we documented reactions from security companies to the Government’s potential abolition of the SIA, as part of its review of all quangos, it has been announced that the SIA will undergo a “phased transition to new regulatory regime”. Feedback surrounding this announcement is on the whole positive as the Government appear to be keen to work with the industry to come up with a new solution. Current laws regarding SIA licences remain in place.

Don’t forget to vote for your favourite people and companies for the TPi Awards 2011, voting ends on December 1. www.tpiawards.com

Many thanks,

sig
